AMADA is growing with purpose to meet rising demand
Big things are happening in Bennäs, Pedersöre, as AMADA Automation Europe shifts into high gear. The company has recently inaugurated its expanded production facilities that now span over 19,500 m², nearly doubling in size compared to their original capacity. The new facilities are expected to create up to 100 new jobs in the coming years, benefiting both the company and the local community.
“Our factory has been operating at full capacity since 2018, and the demand for automation is only increasing. This expansion is a strategic long-term investment, ensuring we can continue to meet growing European demand and provide space for future growth”, states CEO Greg Seymour.
AMADA Automation Europe specialises in producing automated sheet metal handling systems for laser cutting and punching processes. While the core production steps remain unchanged, the recent expansion has brought in technology that enhances production capacity.
“New robotic systems have replaced previously manual processes, enabling faster production while ensuring high-quality standards. By automating complex tasks such as welding and painting, we are creating a safer working environment”, Seymour says.

The company is setting the benchmark for ecological sustainability within the Japanese owned AMADA Group. The Bennäs facility achieved climate-neutral status in early 2024, making it the first in the group to reach this milestone. Key sustainability initiatives at the facility include a solar panel park, 100% renewable energy derived from natural sources, and a biogas-powered curing oven that recycles excess heat to warm the factory.
“We strive to be an inspiration for other companies in the region as well as for our own employees and partners. Our role in society should never be underestimated – whether it’s promoting corporate responsibility or supporting local communities, we aim to use our influence positively to create meaningful change,” says Seymour.
