Crimppi’s new Latvia factory strengthens service across Europe
Crimppi’s journey towards an even more sustainable future is in full swing, as Crimppi is committed to being a significant part of the renewable energy and environmental technology supply chain. As a global operator, Crimppi is at the forefront of sustainable development in the cable assembly and wire harness manufacturing sector, both at its parent company in Vaasa and at all its other factories in China, Croatia – and now in Latvia.
With record-breaking investments, international expansion, and an unwavering commitment to sustainability, Crimppi is driving the future of electrical component manufacturing.
“We want to provide high-quality and reliable wire harnesses and electromechanical solutions for the global green transition. Our customer-oriented and flexible service concept makes us a preferred subcontractor in sectors such as energy, medical technology, and green transportation,” says CEO Timo Harri.

In a bold move that underscores its international growth ambitions, Crimppi has established its fourth production facility in Latvia. The Latvia factory, operational since early 2024, adds substantial production capacity to the group while optimizing logistics and delivery times for Northern European customers.
“This expansion is more than just geographical growth; it’s a carefully planned step that enhances Crimppi’s ability to serve its diverse customer base while maintaining the high quality standards that have become synonymous with the Crimppi name,” Harri explains.
In addition to establishing the new factory, Crimppi is also investing heavily in its other facilities. For example, the company made a record-breaking machinery investment for Vaasa factory, significantly increasing flexibility and service offering capacity.
Sustainability stands as the cornerstone of Crimppi’s operations and future vision. The company has implemented comprehensive environmental management systems across all its factories, setting ambitious goals for carbon neutrality.
“Our company’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond environmental aspects to social and governance responsibility. Every decision is evaluated through the lens of employee well-being, environmental impact, and sustainable business operations – across all our factories”.
