Wapice is the software specialist for demanding industries. The code produced by Wapice can be found virtually everywhere in the world, whether on land, at sea or in the air – from your local staircase company to an Airbus A320 aircraft. The company has several different quality certificates and can truly say it is a leader in its field.

“Our software brings efficiency to industries and public organisations. We develop IoT (Internet of Things) platforms that help them to save energy, target weak spots correctly and digitalise their operations. Because our work is based on advanced quality systems, our clients know that they can rely on our   and global services”, says Wapice’s Managing Director Pasi Tuominen.

Wapice has identified six segments that increase its clients’ competitiveness and is driving the software development of these areas forward in a goal-oriented way. These segments include embedded systems, IoT, cloud solutions, user interfaces, digitalised product development, artificial intelligence and data analytics. Wapice continuously researches and develops its software expertise in these segments – to the tune of more than one million euros every year.

Wapice’s product portfolio presented with people standing in the background. There are three text boxes, one presenting customers’ challenges and two others presenting Wapice’s solutions. The challenges listed are: rising customer expectations, changing business landscape, rising operating costs, and declining revenue. Wapice’s ready-to-use solutions include IoT-Ticket, Summium, and EcoReaction. Customized solutions include AI, Big Data & Analytics, DevOps, Embedded Systems, Web & Mobile solutions, Cyber Security, IoT Services, Electronics Design & Manufacturing, Cloud Services, and Technology & Digitalisation.
Wapice’s product portfolio includes tailored software solutions as well as cloud-based products.

“Because we ourselves are involved in the development of new technologies and innovations, they don’t come as an unpleasant surprise to our clients. Instead, they get to reap the benefits immediately”, Tuominen points out.

Wapice’s services develop its clients’ businesses , from R&D and production to sales, installation and lifecycle services. To boost its clients’ sales processes , Wapice has developed a visual sales configurator called Summium. Even now, Finnish companies are using it to sell more than two billion euros’ worth of export products.

Another jewel in Wapice’s range of services is the IoT-TICKET® solution, which uses artificial intelligence to streamline operations. With IoT- TICKET®, an organisation can reap the benefits of digitalisation in a very concrete way. The solution integrates different data sources and harmonises the data, and its AI engine uses the data to build appropriate functions for different devices. IoT- TICKET® is so easy to use that Microsoft awarded it the Global Application Innovation Award.

“This cloud-independent solution can be used for a wide range of needs. It is used by numerous electricity and industrial companies, as well as public organisations such as cities”, Tuominen explains.

One of Wapice’s main client industries is the energy sector, which is becoming more and more important globally. The company strives to keep SDS (Software Development Services) and SW-Product development in balance, investing in both. As digitalization evolves rapidly, they support each other.
