The ever-increasing demand for flexible structures has led many industrial companies to seek closer partnerships within their core businesses. This places high demands on the partner company, as the entire bus

iness of the customer can grind to a halt if something goes wrong in the cooperation.
Here Citec comes into the picture. Throughout its existence, the company has been a trusted partner for multidisciplinary engineering and technical documentation services , especially within plant engineering. Citec has a unique range of partnership models for industrial companies – from traditional subcontracting to the outsourcing of entire departments with hundreds of employees.
“We are part of the client’s core business in areas that are not the core competencies of the customer, but where we have competence on the global top level,” says Citec’s CEO Johan Westermarck.

↓ “Citec will be a major player in the digitizing of engineering. Whether it comes to IoT, robotics or Big Data solutions, we will be among the forerunners”, states Johan Westermarck.
“Citec will be a major player in the digitizing of engineering. Whether it comes to IoT, robotics or Big Data solutions, we will be among the forerunners”, states Johan Westermarck.

Citec is known for its global project management skills, as well as for a working model that combines local presence close to the customer with global engineering resources, especially in India. In addition, Citec has offices in eleven countries and has carried out projects in over a hundred more.
“The key to companies being able to use partnerships deeper within their core supply chain is transparency made possible by digital solutions,” says Westermarck.
Here Citec is in a strong position as the company develops digital solutions that enable real-time information flow from all the different parties involved in the process.

CitecDot is one example of such a digital solution. This is a user-friendly on-line platform that successfully combines all the information and interaction of an EPC or EPCM project. The platform connects all the stakeholders of a project – from customers to subcontractors – during the entire lifecycle of the project. The stakeholders gain access to the information regarding the project, including document management as well as progress follow-up and material tracking. The result means that human error, delays and extra costs are virtually eliminated.
In addition, Citec has now started to implement Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in customer projects. The company is also looking thoroughly into Big Data and IoT-solutions to be able to provide even smarter engineering partnership in the customers’ core supply chain.
