Turning productivity into a product gives Leinolat Group a competitive edge on the increasingly fast-changing market. The group includes six companies. Four of these, Uwira, Kilkanen, Leimec and Adiabatix, deliver solutions for global energy companies, with Wärtsilä being the largest individual customer. T-Drill focuses on tube and pipe fabrication solutions and exports about 95 per cent of its products. The sixth company belonging to the group is mailbox company Bobi.com, whose popular products are made by Leimec and exported all over the world.
“Although our products are excellent, we want to give our customers far more than just physical products. Maintaining and developing the productivity in all our activities adds value and benefit to our customers,” says Lars-Erik Schöring, CEO.

Leinolat Group aims to increase co-operation between group companies and deliver even larger entities to customers.

After reviewing their business practices, Leinolat Group raised productivity to the core of their entire operations.
“We identified exactly what kind of value our ways of operation have. We aim to increase the productivity of both our own and our customers operations through co-operation processes, investment plans and implementations, as well as flexible production planning,” Schöring explains.
There are many practical examples, one of the most recent ones being a tube manufacturing project that T-Drill implemented in co-operation with the American Cannistraro. Compared to the conventional manufacturing method, T-Drill’s flexible solutions allowed the customer Cannistraro to work six times faster.

Leinolat Group aims to increase co-operation between group companies and deliver even larger entities to customers. Cooperation projects have a positive impact on productivity. A good example of this is the prefabricated pipe solution that Uwira, Wärtsilä and Citec developed together. Fabricating pipes and prefabricated pipe spools at the Uwira factory, using T-Drill machines, saves considerable time and money at the power plant site compared to the conventional process where all the pipes are welded at the project site.
Adiabatix and Uwira are also carrying out collaborative projects.
“We are able to supply complete and quite large modules to major energy companies. The modules include insulation modules from Adiabatix and prefabricated pipes from Uwira. Together these companies are now able to supply complete turnkey solutions, instead of just components. This makes Leinolat Group an interesting partner also to large global players,” says Schöring.
