Kalle’s Inn Resort captures the essence of a perfect coastal getaway
In September 2022, Kalle’s Inn Resort began a new chapter under the stewardship of the Ekman family. The acquisition of this 4.2 hectare coastal retreat was driven by a belief in its potential.
“It’s a true gem, a business opportunity with cultural value. We have invested in branding, business strategy, and talented recruits”, explains Katja Ekman, CEO.
The demand has surged quickly, with guests eager to experience the idyllic surroundings adjacent to the UNESCO World Heritage site. The resort’s signature glasshouses, which offer 360-degree views of the surrounding seascape, have become a highlight for many visitors.
Kalle’s Inn Resort caters to both corporate and private guests. Clients often approach the resort with initial ideas, and the team simplifies their planning with proposals tailored to their needs.
“We can host groups from breakfast through an overnight stay and into the next day. The resort provides an all-inclusive setup for companies with meeting facilities, saunas, a dining area, and overnight lodging”, says Emil Ekman, Operations Manager.

Drawing from extensive experience in various conference settings, Katja Ekman understands what makes a corporate retreat both enjoyable and effortless.
“As many companies bring their own clients to the resort, Kalle’s Inn creates an experience that also enhances their own brand and connections”, she states.

While aiming to increase accommodation capacity and restaurant space to meet growing demand, every decision is made with the utmost respect for the natural landscape.
“We are currently working on achieving the Sustainable Travel label as well as international quality certifications”, says Emil Ekman.
The resort’s commitment to sustainability is woven into every aspect of its daily practices.
“We partner with local providers and source ingredients from nearby producers. Our fish, for instance, comes directly from local fishermen. We prioritise recycling to minimise our environmental impact and take every measure to respect and preserve the natural environment around us”, Katja Ekman adds.
