ARC FLASH PROTECTION detects potential fault conditions in a substation at lightning speed and cuts off its operation before any damage can occur to people or equipment. VAMP’s medium-voltage and sub-transmission protection relays are usedin many applications, from overhead line feedersand substations to power plants and industrial power systems. All VAMP’s products are known for their absolute reliability and user-friendliness. This also goes for VAMP’s newest range of protection relays, Easergy P3, and its product family of arc flash protection.
“The Easergy P3 series has exceeded our customers’ expectations, and our order book for them keeps growing. Schneider Electric’s channelscontinuously create new orders, increasing the base load”, Korkeamäki explains.It is VAMP’s responsibility to maintain the product’s high quality and to meet demand and sometimes very challenging delivery deadlines. The company has distribution centres in France and Sweden, which means that certain products can be delivered very quickly to their destination – within just a few days.
“VAMP has recently entered the highly regulated North American market where some of the first product ranges have already been delivered”, Korkeamäki says proudly.
VAMP PRODUCTS are designed and manufactured in Vaasa. Its customers are large companies within the energy industry, and its products are used, for example, in extensive wind power projects. Since VAMP continuously engages in innovative and ground-breaking R&D, it is no wonder that its expertise in electrical protection has made it a world leader in arc flash protection.
“Our relay range has been remodelled into the P3 range, and we will do something similar soon with arc flash protection in order to provide the perfect fit for Schneider Electric’s connected systems. We are taking initial steps and working hard with R&D to make it happen”, Korkeamäki reveals.
