OSTP provides stainless steel piping solutions that meet evolving global needs
With Europe’s most comprehensive range of stainless steel pipes and fittings, OSTP keeps essential processes flowing. Now celebrating its 75th anniversary, the company is a trusted partner across various industries.
“Our products are vital in any kind of facility where there’s a need to move substances, whether liquid or gas. Our 75-year journey reflects our commitment and expertise”, says Managing Director Thomas Pettersson.
What’s remarkable is that the main product, stainless steel piping, has stayed since the company’s early days, looking much the same as it did at the start.
Although the core product has remained, automation and digitalisation have transformed the company’s operations over the years. OSTP continually expands and adapts its product range to meet shifting market demands and environmental standards.
“In sectors such as marine, where exhaust gases must be cleaned, piping requires specialised materials, as standard pipes simply don’t hold up. The same goes for hydrogen and chemical applications, which come with their own demands. Even if the pipes look the same, they are designed to meet specific needs”, notes Pettersson.

At the world’s greenest stainless tubular factory, well over 95 % of production is already carbon-neutral, and the company remains committed to achieving full neutrality in 2025 within its own production. OSTP’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond environmental efforts, focusing on employee well-being and creating a safe, supportive working environment. This dedication is reflected in the long tenures of many staff members.
“Our goal is to maintain a safe environment where every team member feels valued. We strive for zero accidents and zero customer complaints, creating a workplace that supports both quality and safety”, Pettersson says.
OSTP’s strategy includes a five-year plan targeting a 50% boost in efficiency by enhancing productivity, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness.
“Our goal isn’t just about output. By leveraging our data, improving our way of working and supporting our people, we can create resilient growth”, Petterson states.
