KAISER AG has production facilities in Liechtenstein, Finland, Austria, Italy, Slovakia, France and the USA. It has more than 600 employees.

Environmental vehicle manufacturer Kaiser Eur-Mark keeps urban centres clean by providing its customers with sewer cleaning and industrial disposal vehicles, as well as mobile walking excavators. The company is owned by Kaiser AG from Liechtenstein, which is the international market leader in sewer cleaning vehicles and aims to become an industry forerunner also in electrification, digitalisation and carbon reduction.

“The water-recirculation technology in our sewer cleaning vehicles saves millions of litres of drinking water per year, as the same water can be used over and over again through recycling”, says Kurt Vienonen, Vice Managing Director of Kaiser Eur-Mark.

Sewer cleaning vehicles require in themselves a lot of energy, and Kaiser Eur-Mark has for years focused on increasing the efficiency and reducing the diesel consumption of its products.

“A typical sewer cleaning vehicle uses 100 litres of diesel per day. These vehicles are in use all day, every day, and 80% of the energy they consume comes from using their high pressure and vacuum system, not from transportation. By creating efficient fossil-free alternatives, we can significantly reduce CO2 emissions. Compared to the typical vehicle, our units can save as much as 55 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year”, says Daniel Laubscher, Chief Technical Officer at the Kaiser Group.

Kaiser Eur-Mark is a worldwide dynamic growing company that offers interesting international career options for its employees, notes Daniel Laubscher.

While each Kaiser Eur-Mark unit already makes an impact, the company also supports their customers by disclosing their environmental benefit. Here, so-called cradle-to-grave calculations are made from the birth of a unit until it is recycled.

One important aspect of Kaiser Eur-Mark’s sustainability work is its investment in digitalisation and electrification. As a long-time standard feature, the company offers remote product monitoring for its customers. This means that Kaiser Eur-Mark is connected to its units even after they are sold, offering clients better customer service through remote diagnostics. The data Kaiser Eur-Mark receives also benefits its own innovation projects.

“Thanks to this remote data, we know how our units are being used, how much energy they consume, and what the typical applications are. This is market knowledge that helps us develop our products also in terms of electrification”, explains Laubscher.

Being part of the international Kaiser Group has brought many advantages to Kaiser Eur-Mark in Nykarleby. The group jointly develops technological innovations, offers international advancement options for the personnel, and values long-term investments in the communities it operates in. Kaiser, a family business founded in 1913, is convinced that its value orientation and innovative strength forms the cornerstones for sustainable development also in the future.

“We benefit from being part of an international group. Kaiser has come to Nykarleby to stay, which is a win-win for us and for them. We provide skills and a high work ethic to Kaiser, while they provide us with knowledge, engineering power and financial muscles. Combining these, we develop our growing company here in Nykarleby”, notes Vienonen.

With a steady business in an expanding sector, Kaiser Eur-Mark is indeed growing, internationally and in Finland. Now the company is convinced that more people will see the group as an attractive employer.

“We offer our employees an interesting workplace with stability and great growing options. As a business-to-business company, we might not be as prominent as consumer companies, but once people get to know us, they see that we are one of those hidden but stable success stories”, Laubscher describes.
