How can one achieve successful projects that provide the client with more than they expected?
“By having the most motivated and skilful team”, says Matti Manner, CEO of industrial project service provider Prohoc. It is therefore no wonder that the company has set employee wellbeing as the number one priority in their strategy.
“Our mission is to empower our people and give them the means to shine in the world of projects,” says Manner.
Prohoc has always seen investing in employee wellbeing as a fundamental prerequisite, but its importance was highlighted even further when the company recently clarified its course for the future.
“In our vision, we are the most wanted and trusted project partner. We believe that by bringing more humanity into the project and engineering world we will not only reach our vision, but it´ll also make our journey more fun,” says Manner.
Prohoc provides a wide range of project and construction management services, and the company is now especially focusing on developing information management and project control services. Prohoc believes that by focusing on efficient information flow, the risk in projects can be decreased and implementation accelerated. Prohoc’s Director of Information Services, Ilkka Palola, highlights the client’s opportunity to focus on their own core skills.
“The value of information is constantly rising and when well-managed, it becomes an asset. Therefore, we are expanding our project services to cover other information needs besides documentation. In many international projects, 85 per cent of the project manager’s work is related to communication and data gathering, and we have efficient tools for that,” says Palola.
By 2020, Prohoc’s turnover is projected to reach €20 million, although growth is not a primary target, according to Manner.
“By putting your heart, mind and soul to your work every day, the results will follow. We hire people who are independent and prepared to take responsibility within projects. The new generation of clients and employees are guided from within and are motivated by doing meaningful work,” says Manner.
