“It’s not a question of finding something new in this field, it is more a question of making a product that is better than the competitor’s product. In this our parent company has helped us a lot,” says Kurt Vienonen, Managing Director at Eur-Mark. The parent company is Kaiser Ag, a family owned company based in Lichtenstein. Kaiser Ag has opened doors to new markets for Eur-Mark, such as the UK.
One of Eur-Mark’s special solutions is a high-lift, which is installed on their hercules model. The high-lift feature is needed when tanks are emptied. Emptying is done so that the tanks are lifted in the air and emptied into a container. This is important in locations without an available sludge well, for example in cities and industrial areas.
“The high-lift feature saves time and also money in the long run. The link-mechanism for the high-tip is made of aluminium, which makes the solution lighter than comparable high-tippers. The tank can also be filled with a bigger load and in addition, it’s good looking.”
Eur-Mark is planning to launch a new sludge irrigation system, which can do the job more effectively when a well needs to be emptied. The system is called KolDrive and it is a further development and improvement of the already existing irrigation system.
“This is a project spanning over many years. We have carried it out with our Norwegian distributor and we claim that it really works. The liquid in the waste is pressed out, cleaned chemically and then emptied back into the well. This way the vehicle only needs to transport the dry material and not a lot of unnecessary water. This can be called real performance.”
The geographical location in Ostrobothnia is important for Eur-Mark.
“Competence and reliability, which we value highly, can both be found in this region. Our employees know several languages and the working morale is high. With the right owner we have been able to boost our local operations and employ more people.”
In 2016 a new service centre building will rise in the factory area. After that Eur-Mark will be able to focus even more on after sales, in form of service, repairs and retrofitting.
