Thanks to their energy savings and zero-maintenance, the Array LeS luminaires pay themselves back very quickly. They endure all climates and work well even in challenging environments.

Light revolution

LumiTar Array LeS lights last, illuminate and save more energy than any other lights

When Igor Rodet was developing the LumiTar Array LeS technology, he knew he was on to something revolutionary. LeS lights are unbelievably energy efficient, their light carries over an uncommonly long distance and they burn for decades without servicing. And these are just the first advantages you will notice.

When the lighting of the largest sports hall in Finland was replaced with this new technology, the illuminating power in the hall more than doubled, the energy consumption decreased to almost a quarter of what it used to be and the lighting costs of a five year period dropped to almost a third of the previous costs. It’s obvious that LeS is the next big breakthrough in light technology after LED, both nationally and internationally.

In the Array LeS technology, light is produced in a totally new way. When electricity is conducted through LeS (Light-emitting Surface), the whole chip produces the light as a unified family of components. LED, on the other hand, consists of many smaller sources of light, each of which require their own optics to allow the light to come out. This is why LED light does not provide illumination over such a great range.

“LeS provides an even, flicker-free light with an energy-saving potential of up to 92%. Its light-carrying range, colour rendering and operating life outdo all other products in the market,” says Igor Rodet.

LeS lights have a lifecycle of more than 200,000 hours, which translates as up to 25 years of non-stop use.

“The luminosity of LeS doesn’t drop at all as the bulb gets older, as it does with LEDs. Also, their warming up is prevented with innovative structural solutions,” Rodet explains.

After the lighting of a port had just been replaced with Array LeS lights, LumiTar received a phone call early one morning. The excited port staff wanted to share their amazement: although the ships had been loaded at night, the port’s lighting made it seem like the middle of the day. Rodet says that Array LeS lights are best suited for places that require great light intensity that carries far. They are also at their best in venues where they must not emit heat into the environment, such as ice stadiums, the food industry and fresh produce warehouses.

“In manufacturing areas, our high-quality lights improve occupational safety and in art galleries their colour response index is close to that of the sun.”

LumiTar’s market area will be global and export investments have already been started.

“We have already launched our products in Dubai, for example, where we will deliver lighting for a production bay for heavy industry and for a large aluminium factory.”
